HOW TO FIGHT DRUG RESISTANT BACTERIA

"Here’s something to think about the next time you stop by the meat counter at your local grocery store – there may be drug-resistant strains of bacteria lurking in that steak or chicken.

A study by the Translational Genomics Research Institute, found that Staphylococcus aureus – a bacteria that causes most staph infections including skin infections, pneumonia and blood poisoning – are present in meat and poultry from U.S. grocery stores at “unexpectedly high rates.”

Is there an alternate solution? What happens when these antibiotic resistant microbes become a real problem? Answer: they already are. This is a growing problem that is not well known by the general public. The medical community is running out of viable drugs to deal with these resistant germs. The incidence in hospitals is increasing and from time to time it actually makes it into the news or the paper regarding a breakout in a grade school, etc.

There are other ways to deal with this problem that have been known for years. The real problem is with the established medico-pharmaceutical complex; they just can't figure out how to make money with these alternate solutions, since their entire business model is predicated on symptom suppression and not cures. "Cure a patient, lose a customer."

Don't take our word for it. Check this out:

"Hardly any doctors still practicing can remember life before antibiotics, when people were routinely hospitalized for common infections, and the threat of deadly Staphylococcus shadowed even the simplest surgery. But infectious-disease specialists like Brad Spellberg of UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine have been reading up on those days because of a growing fear they are not all in the past. Wealthy countries take for granted the triumph of science over bacteria, but increasingly doctors are coming up against infections that can be quelled only by the most powerful antibiotics known to medicine—or by none of them. “It’s already happening,” says Spellberg, to the tune of roughly 100,000 deaths a year from antibiotic-resistant infections in the United States alone. “But it’s going to become much more common.” Imagine a world in which antibiotics resemble chemotherapy drugs—producing toxic side effects and unpredictable outcomes instead of the guaranteed cures we have come to expect—and you can understand what keeps Spellberg awake at night.

For years, non-drug methods for killing and steralizing hospitals, schools, etc. have been known, e.g. grape seed extract, ozone generators, certain types of lighting, colloidal silver, etc. But, they have not been used extensively; just too much profit in drugs, surgery, and extended hospitals stays.

"Experts say although Staph can be killed with proper cooking, it still may pose a risk to people who handle food improperly, and cross-contamination in the kitchen."

One mistake in handling of meat and you risk the health of your entire family.

One solution is to become a vegetarian, which by the way has multiple benefits over and above the latter one. Also, you could begin studying up on alternative and natural therapies, treatments etc. before it is too late and there is a pandemic spread of anti biotic resistant bacteria. We recommend a couple of approachs that have proven effective over the last 60 years around the world at killing all types of germs effectively and without side effects:

Does Lemon Juice Help Acne - Find The Real Truth Here

Does lemon juice help acne? A simple answer to that question is "Yes", it does help in clearing up acne. Lemon juice acne treatment is quite popular as it is an extremely cheap remedy. Lemons contain a natural acid called L-ascorbic acid. Acne is caused by bacteria that thrive in the small pores of the skin. When you apply on these pores, the acid will begin to break down and kill the bacteria that are causing the acne.

The result will be cleaner pores and reduced acne severity. Lemon juice remedy is so popular that most of the popular over the counter acne treatments actually have L-ascorbic acid as an ingredient in them. It will usually take a few days for lemon juice acne marks to subside with constant application.

How to use the lemon juice acne treatment?

Now that you have got the answer to the question "does lemon juice help acne", you should also know how to apply to get the results that you desire. This is a very simple procedure. All you have to do is this:

* Wash your face with a good antibacterial soap.
* Dry it.
* Squeeze a lemon onto a bowl and then use a cotton ball to soak up the juice.
* Apply a thin by consistent spread all over your face. It will begin to dry after a while.
* Once it is dry, try to leave it on for the night.
* Once you wake up the next day, rinse your face without using soap.

To get the best results, this procedure will need to be carried out for a few days. You can even wear this thin mask under make up if you want to. Generally, it will be a good practice to apply the solution to the entire face and not just the problem areas. This is because lemon juice can have a mild skin lightening effect and applying it on only certain areas will leave your skin a little brighter in spots.

Will lemon juice acne remedy work for everyone?

For some people, it might cause a bit of a burning sensation. This will be very bearable in most cases. If it is however too much to deal with, you can simply add just a little bit of water to dilute the lemon juice before applying it on the face. If you however experience a strong burning sensation every time you apply, it is best that you consider alternative methods as you might be allergic to lemon juice.

The tips I just shared above did helped clear my acne (to a certain degree) and I'm sure it'll help you as well.

But honestly, if you want clear skin, I'll not lie to you... It's NOT easy and you'll need a detailed step-by-step guide to do it RIGHT.

I have read a couple of acne related books and I'd have to say that "Acne No More" covers the MOST grounds. - However, I still dislike certain aspects of the book. I'll reveal them in my acne no more review here.

The Most Effective Treatment for Acne

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions that is found among people of all ages. Although teenagers are the ones who are normally seen with this condition, acne is also common for adults as well. Acne can appear anywhere on the body, although the most common areas that it is seen are on the back, chest, neck and face. As a result of this many persons are looking for solutions or treatment for acne.
If you too are searching for treatment for acne, in order to find the best acne treatment for you, you will have to first analyze your acne before you start a treatment. Acne is caused by many different factors, and many people don't understand or know what exactly is causing their breakouts. However, if you could identify the root cause of your acne you would be better able to find the right treatment for your acne. Some of the leading causes of acne include your diet, stress, hormones, medication and makeup. Acne can also be hereditary.
Types of Treatment for acne
There are many different types of treatment for acne, these range from natural remedies to prescription creams and antibiotics most of which are focused on unclogging the pores. By finding the right treatment for acne, you can keep this condition under control. So what are the best options that you can use as treatment for acne?
The two most commonly used acne-control agents are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. These acne fighting agents work by removing the blockages that cause the pores to become clog and form the acne.
Keeping the skin clean is not only good for hygiene but regular cleansing of the skin is another effective treatment for acne. However, you need to be a bit careful as to what you use to cleanse your skin because certain things, including astringents may do more harm than good to your acne condition. The thing is although astringents may remove excessive superficial oil buildup, they will cause pores to close and if the pores cannot breathe properly it can lead to more acne breakouts.
There are also many natural remedies that can be used as treatment for acne. These natural cures for acne are not only inexpensive, but you won't really have to worry about any side effects, unless you are allergic to a specific ingredient that is used. These treatments include tea tree oil, which is a strong antiseptic, washing the face with warm salt water, applying apple Cider vinegar to balance the PH of the skin and making masks from various ingredients such as ground almonds and goat milk; water and baking soda or aspirin and honey.
If over-the-counter and natural remedies are not working for you, then a visit to a dermatologist might be the treatment for your acne. Your dermatologist will then be able to prescribe drugs as a treatment for acne, including oral antibiotics, to kill any trapped bacteria in the pores. Sometimes women will be prescribed birth control pills to clear up their acne condition or the doctor will use IPL Laser treatment for the problem. You should be aware; however, that while antibiotics might be effective as treatment for acne, they should not be taken as a long term acne treatment as these medications can cause terrible side effects when used for long periods.

ALTERNATIVES TO HOSPITAL CARE AND MEDICAL ERRORS

FIRST, SOME HIFHLIGHTS FROM DR. MERCOLA’S SITE ARTICLE:

Nearly 250,000 Deaths From ONE Common Mistake: Here's How to Protect Yourself at:
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/02/04/death-by-medicine-an-update.aspx

These are just some excerpts and you should read the entire short article. Then, when you realize modern so-called medicine offers little more than playing Russian Roulette with a machine gun, you can check out some of the alternative medicine solutions offered below. Prevention is the best medicine, but in our polluted world, toxicity and disease are becoming the norm. At the end, we offer both solutions, prevention and treatment. We cannot use the word cure, even if true, but neither should allopathic medicine which only offers symptom suppression in the form of drugs and surgery.

HIGHLIGHTS:

“HealthGrades has been studying the quality of care in the nation's hospitals since 1988. This year they analyzed approximately 40 million Medicare patients' records from 2007 through 2009, and found that 1 in 9 patients developed a hospital-acquired infection.”

“The HealthGrades report said that "the incidence rate of medical harm occurring is estimated to be over 40,000 each and EVERY day according to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement."”

Horpital-Acquired Infections

“Another study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine this year, showed that sepsis and pneumonia caused by hospital-acquired infections killed 48,000 patients and ramped up health care costs by $8.1 billion in 2006 alone. Both these infections are mostly preventable through better infection controls. The study also found that 20 percent of people who developed sepsis died; 11 percent of those who developed pneumonia died.”

“The authors noted that many hospital-acquired infections are super resistant to common antibiotics – and it's not just sepsis and pneumonia that they're talking about.”

“A different study in 2006 showed that "central-line-associated" bloodstream infections caused by catheters placed directly into veins resulted in a $26,839 loss for each patient that came down with this type of hospital-acquired infection. This same study estimated that 2 million people come down with hospital-acquired infections of any type in every year, and that approximately 100,000 die from those infections.” (Underlined section by blog editor)

Medication Errors are a Major Killer

“In a June 2010 report in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, study authors said that in looking over records that spanned from 1976 to 2006 (the most recent year available) they found that, of 62 million death certificates, almost a quarter-million deaths were coded as having occurred in a hospital setting due to medication errors. They also found that these errors spiked in July, and particularly in teaching hospitals.”

Nearly Half a Million Preventable Adverse Drug Reactions

“An estimated 450,000 preventable medication-related adverse events occur in the U.S. every year.”

“Adverse drug reactions cause injuries or death in 1 of 5 hospital patients.”
